I'm working on a communication platform for a specific project. It's about defining your role on the market, position yourself against other players, creating your story etc. Obviously we've done it before and we're still Yooba. But, one thing that has changed considerably is the market.

The big R affects our perspectives. In many cases, what your company positioned against a year ago is slowly moving towards a "holistic" threat for all of us. The current economic climate. What used to be valuable against other services and/or tools is now your best weapon in a decreasing economical state.

For '09 we still are going to be your allied.

Roll on 2009.

The festive season is reaching its peak. We’re soon going for some well deserved rest. We’ll be here on and off during next week, and with full capacity from January the 5th.

Then with extra full capacity.

2008 has very much been about setting the foundations for everything Yooba stands for. The initial time plan was revised, sometimes due reasons that was out of our control, and sometimes it has been an active decision from our part. Altogether it’s mainly because we want to provide you with a leading tool for your future marcoms.

Yooba is going to be part of the new breed of smart services that’s going to provide you with new effective ways to create and publish content for the web. We’re not going to replace anything; Yooba is not your one-size fits all solution. But again, Yooba is a smart solution, and that’s where you need to be in 2009. Whatever ways your marketing is heading for next year, you need to be smart. You need to find cost-effective and new, smart solutions for your communications with your customers or end-users.  I’m sure, not many of us will be able to work as we’ve done this year. It will be about prioritising and getting more bangs out of the bucks. That’s where Yooba is coming in.

So with all these coming challenges, we want to send you all the best wishes for Christmas and the New Year.

Source: Mediascope Europe 2008

A new study from the EIAA presents new consumer patterns in their media consumption.

  • 55% of all European Internet users are online every single day.
  • Usage has increased during evenings and weekends. Which might relate to the new "Lifestyle Management" activities that are growing. I.e. Communication through social networking sites, choose better products or services, book holidays/travel arrangements etc.
  • 'Freedom' and 'flexibility' are the keywords for today's consumers.
  • Personal recommendations are still influential when researching or considering a service or product. Web sites of well-known brands are also important information sources.

Check it, it could be a good resource for creating greater impact with your strategies.

With the release of version 1.1 of Yooba Studio, the Player (running the projects) have been drastically improved.
One of the bigest improvements is the size of the Player itself, beeing reduced to about a third of its previous size!
Other features imclude performance boosts and faster loading times.

We hope you will enjoy this new version of Yooba Studio as much as we have been enjoying making it!
